Most of my blogging this year has been related to Books and Borrowing, 1750-1830: An Analysis of Scottish Borrowers’ Registers. We’ve been concentrating on getting as much data as possible into our database before it’s ready for launch next spring. Even so the team managed to post a new blog almost every week that was not impacted by strikes or holidays.
You can find my contributions to the project’s blog here – the titles speak for themselves:
- Il étoit une fois…: The Advocates Library and the ‘Le Cabinet des Fées’
- Robert Simson’s Books at the University of Glasgow
- Mrs Felix Yaniewicz and the Chambers’ Circulating Library, 1829
- Supernatural Visions: A Halloween Post
I have just completed – today! – another edit of my early-18th-century Edinburgh novel, The Julian Club. Perhaps 2023 will be its year.
Happy New Year!
